PLA Media Adds Jake McVey To Their Roster

McVey’s latest single, “Y’all Girls,” is a road tested fan favorite that showcases the energy he brings to the stage, and sets the tone for his new EP. McVey’s three previous albums showcased his warm, muscular voice, easy-going charm and enviable song sense. “Unknown Highway,” “Redlined and Wasted” and “Best Days of Our Lives” propelled him to the forefront of new artists looking to make a name for themselves. McVey is proud of those previous efforts, but in recording his newest collection, his creative mission was simple. “It’s feel good songs,” McVey says proudly. With the help of producer J. Gary Smith (Andy Griggs), McVey also explores new territory sonically, surrendering more to his rock ‘n roll influences on such tracks as “Twisted.” Jake expresses his excitement for the new album saying, “I love the feel of these new songs and how they’ve been going over live.”

A relentless road dog who performs nearly 300 dates a year, McVey has earned a loyal fan base that’s addicted to his fiery stage show and arsenal of ear-grabbing songs. Though Jake could easily take time off and not push himself so hard, that’s just not in his nature. He’s currently writing songs for two film projects and he also takes time when he’s in a town to visit local hospitals and nursing homes to do acoustic performances.
