NEW YORK -- November 30, 2018 -- Jamie Lin Wilson is known for her ability to tell a good story, often honing in on the details of everyday life that most people miss. The Texas-based singer-songwriter just released her new album, Jumping Over Rocks, on October 26; its 10 tracks revealing Wilson’s observations through tales of men, women and children coping, striving, celebrating and learning. Since its release, the album has climbed to #17 on the Americana Albums Chart, while current single, “The Being Gone,” reached #26 on the Americana Singles Chart. The video for the song premiered with American Songwriter today. Jumping Over Rocks finds Wilson narrating a rich collection of story songs that encompass universal themes but remain specific and personal, too. Wilson wrote from the outside looking in, studying characters around her more than she had before. It was recorded live over four days at Arlyn Studios in Austin; a fierce cast of musicians joined her, including Charlie Sexton on guitar, and together, Wilson and the players cut every track live.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Billy Bob's is the home of big-name concerts, bull riding and chicken fried steak with a reputation as gigantic as the state itself. With a new dance floor, Billy Bob’s Texas fans will be two-stepping throughout the month of December with top name entertainers from the past, present and future gracing its historic stage. New Year's Eve will be another huge night at Billy Bob's as Texas-based Randy Rogers Band will take the stage to ring in 2019! Magnet premiered the video LOS ANGELES, Calif. — One of Los Angeles punk rock’s most admired yet little-heard bands makes a striking return to records on January 18, 2019, as Yep Roc Records issues an all-new collection by The Flesh Eaters, I Used to Be Pretty. On the release, founding vocalist and songwriter Chris Desjardins — better known as Chris D. — is backed by the legendary “all-star” edition of the band, originally heard on the 1981 set A Minute To Pray, A Second To Die: Dave Alvin (guitar) and Bill Bateman (drums) of The Blasters; John Doe (bass) and D.J. Bonebrake (marimba and percussion) of X; and Steve Berlin (saxophones) of The Plugz (and later The Blasters and Los Lobos). The album was produced collectively by the band members. HAUNTING NEW “BURN THE WITCH” VIDEO DIRECTED BY ANNIE SPERLING VIEW HERE Nashville, TN – The Dark & The Light, the new album from soulful independent troubadour Shawn James, is set for release on March 22 on Parts + Labor Records. Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, James’ music is inspired by blues, gospel, rock, R&B and folk. His lyrics are informed by life experiences that include forcibly becoming part of the Pentecostal church in his youth and the loss of a loved one, but hope and love are always present throughout. James’ fans connect to his genuine sentiment and the way he opens himself up by allowing himself to be vulnerable through his art. His substantive songs encourage exploration as well as enjoyment both sonically and lyrically, but what stands out right away is his extraordinary voice. A gifted vocalist who studied opera and classical, he was a standout while singing in gospel choirs as a kid. With his voice, James possesses a remarkable instrument that is equally powerful and commanding as it is soulful and nuanced. NASHVILLE, TN – Redneck Country All-Star Wheeler Walker, Jr., widely regarded as Nashville’s foul-mouthed trail blazer, drops his much anticipated album WWIII on November 30 here. WWIII marks Walker’s third collaboration with 4-time Grammy winning producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell), on the heels of two trailblazing albums that shook the country music world to its core: debut album “Redneck Shit” and “Ol’ Wheeler” both charted Top 10 on Billboard’s Country lists. WWIII is named after his newborn son and dedicated to his lovely wife. NASHVILLE, Tenn. — If there were an East Nashville Music Hall of Fame, Amelia White would already be in it. The now-famous scene was in its formative days when White arrived from Boston in the early 2000s and became a fixture at the Family Wash. She’s been a leading light in America’s most musical zip code ever since, even as she’s developed a reputation in the rest of the U.S. and Europe as a first-rate songwriter. She helped define and refine the core folk-rock sound of Americana, yet her band’s energetic pulse never outshines her carefully wrought lyrics. She’s a poet who’s been compared to more famous songwriters for years; now, it would be more appropriate to use her as a benchmark. White’s seventh album, Rhythm of the Rain, due out January 25, 2019, is a volume of ruminations and short stories written largely during a tour in the U.K. in 2016. There, at a distance and with a sense of helplessness, she watched America’s political system and her values attacked from within. Then the project was recorded by East Nashville sonic maestro Dave Coleman (The Coal Men) in an emotionally wrenching four days between White losing her mother and marrying her partner. Roots music is a journal of love and loss, and Rhythm of the Rain couldn’t be a more potent dispatch. November 29, 2018: Today, Low Cut Connie released the official video for "Every Time You Turn Around" from their critically-acclaimed new album Dirty Pictures (Part 2). The video release comes on the heels of a banner year that includes the band's network televison debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers, a song dedication from Elton John on his sold out tour, a four-star review by David Fricke in Rolling Stone and much more. Watch the video for "Every Time You Turn Around" via YouTube: https://youtu.be/oTQ1hm60UKw The video was directed by Gaia Alari, who said, "I used a fairytale-like, surreal imagery and symbols such as the wolf and the lamb, to highlight the way a kid sees good and evil and to hint that no matter how hard a wolf may try to swallow him/her up, a kid will always remain a lamb, innocent and in need for protection and love. Today’s society will be always held accountable for how future generations will become tomorrow." Nashville, TN – Genre-melding quintet The Way Down Wanderers have announced the February 22nd release of their independent sophomore album illusions. Though it is built on a foundation of Americana and bluegrass, illusionsfeatures The Way Down Wanderers’ signature multi-part harmonies injected with unexpected elements of pop, reggae, classical and jazz. The Way Down Wanderers began when former rock drummer Austin Krause-Thompson met classically trained folk instrumentalist/vocalist Collin Krause at the ages of 19 and 15 respectively (the two recently became brothers-in-law). The two lead singers/songwriters were later joined by jazz percussionist John Merikoski, classical bassist John Williams and banjo player Travis Kowalsky.
