(July 28, 2016) – Fans of country music trailblazer Charley Pride can catch the multi-platinum selling singer on an upcoming two-hour radio special airing on SiriusXM. Tune in as Pride sits down with host, “Mayor of Music Row,” Charlie Monk in celebration of the Country Music Hall of Fame member's 50th year in music. Nothing is off limits as the Grammy winner talks about some of his most memorable moments, along with struggles along the way, including Pride’s triumphant climb to the top by transcending racial boundaries to become the first black superstar in country music. “I had a lot of fun doing this radio show with my longtime friend Charlie Monk,” says Pride. "And it was wonderful to celebrate 50 years as a recording artist with the help of so many artist friends. Being able to catch up with so many old friends made it extra special." Charlie Monk agrees, adding, “I've spent a lot of time over the last 50 years attending Charley Pride concerts, and enjoying them all. I'm glad I was his guest at the shows, because we've spent a lot of time playing golf, where he still got my money.”
