Known in the LA music scene for her smoky voice, memorable melodies, and thought provoking lyrics, Clare Means is prepping the release of her fourth studio album, Sidewalk Astronomy. Due June 8th, the forthcoming album is a cohesive patchwork of musings on life in Los Angeles, love, forgiveness, and the recent loss of her estranged father. Clare notes, "Most of the songs were written over the course of a couple years and were sparked by a variety of moments in my life...the day I found out my father was sick, when I fell in love, when I knew my relationship was doomed, when I got my heart broken, the day my father died, and when I woke up from a strange dream about sheep."

From the first time I heard "Guts" I knew there was something special about this song. Along side the Avett Brothers "The Ballad of Love and Hate", "Guts" epitomizes all love to hate - hate to love relationships. Clare Means has capture all there needs to be said on the topic. I love this song, "even when I hate your guts".

One of my best Clare Means' songs! I love all the contradictions in this song which matches real life relationships. Clare Means is such a great songwriter and musician with the most loveliest voice!

In my opinion anybody that will take some time to listen to Clare’s music can only agree that she got a big talent. She demonstrated this fact by totally financing her album production with pre-orders. There is a reason why people are willing to pre-pay her art... they know that she’s outstanding!

Having been in radio, television, introduced famous musicians in my day, been around the best...hands down Claire MEANS BUSINESS!! The song writing skills alone are breath taking. They leave your mind immersed in the story being told. Such a kind soul with a huge heart! Today's music needs it's soul back. Claire is here to do a heart transplant and get the blood going again.
