The Infamous Stringdusters has announced two special Halloween shows in New York City. The Grammy-nominated bluegrass-rock band will play the Highline Ballroom on October 30 and 31. On the first night the band will celebrate the music of The Grateful Dead with a special performance titled, "Night of The Living Dead". The band will be joined by special guest Keller Williams, and the show will get started with an opening set from rising acoustic group Cabinet. Halloween night will be an early Evening with The Infamous Stringdusters, giving fans plenty of time to enjoy the city after the prompt 8pm show. Ahead of the blowout in the Big Apple, the band-Andy Hall (Dobro), Andy Falco (guitar), Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle) and Travis Book (upright bass)- has been asked to play a special show for the recovering town of Lyons, Colorado. Taking place on September 13, Viva Lyons will be an event of remembrance, marking the one-year anniversary of the devastating flooding that caused great damage throughout the Colorado Front Range, and celebration, saluting the resilience and rebuilding efforts of hard-hit towns like Lyons. Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, who will attend Viva Lyons, has declared September 13 a statewide day of service, and at the end of the day volunteers will congregate in Lyons' Bohn Park for a performance by The Infamous Stringdusters. VIVA LYONS is being presented by Lyons-based Oskar Blues Brewery, a steadfast partner with The Infamous Stringdusters in supporting Colorado flood relief through the Oskar Blues CAN'd Aid Foundation. The foundation emerged following the Colorado flooding and has raised over $1M total while contributing over $700,000 to Colorado flood relief. All proceeds from the event will benefit CAN'd Aid Foundation flood relief efforts throughout Colorado. VIVA LYONS is being presented in conjunction with Cyclists 4 Lyons - an event from 8AM-5PM held in Bohn Park with food, live music, beer and some great bike rides with pro cyclists - all to benefit the Lyons Community Foundation. The album, which spent four weeks in the top 10 of the Americana Radio Chart, came out on April 1 on the band'sown High Country Recordings to a host of critical praise. The dynamic album runs through a spectrum of Americana sounds, or as American songwriter put it "the lovely multi-part harmonies, the high quality of the songwriting and arrangements that reflect moods shifting from frisky or introspective depending on the lyrics, keep the tunes from falling explicitly into a country, folk, gospel, pop or bluegrass genre." Pre-order for the vinyl edition of Let It Go starts August 12. Fans can also get a chance at buying the album before the National Street Release at The Festy Experience, the band's three-day festival in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia that takes place October 10-12.
