Influenced by contemporaries such as Isbell, Adams, and Simpson, along with icons Kristofferson, Jennings, and Dylan, Connecticut-based singer-songwriter Jeff Przech tells musical stories that deeply connect with the listener. Przech's 2018 release, Jeff Przech & The Outfit was carried by those story songs, and strongly supported by Przech’s deep, soulful, and emotive vocals, a dose of twang, and some rootsy grit. Today, TDC is excited to share the performance video for one of the album's standout (and sole acoustic) tracks, "The Willows" a moving, and relatable, story song about the unpredictability of life. Jeff relays the story behind the song, "The Willows" is the lone acoustic song on the album and one of my favorites. I was very happy with the way it came out. The song itself isn't about anyone in particular, the two characters are an amalgam of several different people, including me. I think the story though is something most people go through at some point, that uncertainty of life. It's like Ophelia said in Hamlet: "We know what we are but know not what we may be."
