Before Shalo Lee started writing songs, she was writing stories, poetry and books of things that she would keep to herself. Growing up, she learned to sing from her sister, played in cover bands in college and even spent time working at Mickey Gilley's theater singing Patsy Cline songs. With the goal of making a record always in mind, Lee met Ken Valdez and later Owen Satori both of whom helped her write for her debut album, Hometown Girl, which was released late last year. One of the songs on Hometown Girl is Lee's rockin' rendition of Steve Earle's "Copperhead Road," which closes out the album. TDC is pleased to premiere the video below.
