![]() Diana Upton-Hill, the MidWest reared theater maven turned country vocalist, puts the top-down to travel south on her sophomore single Southern Gentlemen. Breaking the Top 50 with her debut single, Diana returns with a high-heeled rocking track that pays homage to the sweltering, well-mannered men of the south produced by Grammy award winning artist, songwriter and producer Bryan White. “Bryan found this song and I immediate connected with the idea behind it,” says Diana. “I never had a particular person in mind, but this song is about that average guy that you see very predominately in the south that recognizes a need and fills it. This is for that guy that helps you with your bags at the grocery or the one that holds a door when your hands are full or extends an umbrella in the rain. That’s the guy I think of when I sing this song.” Written by Georgia Thomas Edgeworth and Robin Grant, the song is quickly climbing the charts and even captured the number two spot on the “Most Added” songs for its impact week on Music Row. There are currently 25 stations that are early adopters of the song and she continues to see positive responses from stations across the nation. Diana recently stopped by Music Row magazine and is currently on a radio tour across the South engaging the exact audience that she highlights in this song. Nashville’s Hamil Rich Battles Schizophrenia With Music On Debut Album 'Weights' Releasing April 223/9/2016 ![]() Nashville, TN - Singer-songwriter Hamil Rich will release his debut album Weights on April 22. Rich has crafted 10 songs with deep imagery to grapple with and overcome mental illness. At age 20, he was diagnosed with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) after years of disruptive behaviors. He began taking an antidepressant to cope with fear and anxiety while attending Trevecca Nazarene University with a major in Commercial Voice. It was during that time he began hearing voices that intensified to the point of threatening his life. Music became a way to find peace, to escape the noise in the labyrinth of his mind. At age 24, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and began to receive treatment. ![]() (Los Angeles Press Release) -- Rising Southern singer/songwriter Nate Currin recently released the official music video for his current single “Midnight Train.” The video was shot on location in southern California’s Joshua Tree State Park and the swamps of central Florida. The juxtaposition of these two distinct locales makes for a compelling and gorgeously made video that only adds to the tension of the song’s narrative. Nate had this to say about the track: “Midnight Train hearkens back to the days where southern rock, gritty country, and rock n roll all came together in a seamless blend of beauty and organic decay. The story is of a memory the writer has of a girl from the past, a true southern beauty who breaks his heart as he leaves the South behind, trading love for the road but nonetheless haunted by the memory of the 'one who got away'." “Midnight Train” is featured on the highly anticipated album The Madman and The Poet which drops on April 15th. The album is the follow up to 2014’s You and I are Ghosts record and features some of Nate’s most compelling and emotionally charged tracks to date. Nate recently talked about his vision for the record: "The Madman and The Poet is a concept album, a 2-sided feature that shows the dichotomy between the beautiful things in life and the dark and introspective times that leave us shrouded in questions. The first half of the album, the Madman, is a darker and more gritty collection of songs, both stylistically and thematically, with more of a bluesy rock-n-roll feel, while the second half, the Poet, is a lighter and often times happier song collection that is more acoustic musically.” As anticipated, Nate will be headed out on the road this Spring in support of The Madman and The Poet. The band is touring in support of their 2015 self titled third album, which received coverage in a range of outlets from The Wall Street Journal to Noisey to Paste Magazine. American Songwriter said, “…the Oklahoma band’s steady rise in popularity has come precisely because it doesn’t take the obvious route.” The band was also the subject of an extensive feature in Playboy Magazine on the new bad boys of country. Check it out HERE. After a short break in December/January, Turnpike Troubadours have kicked off 2016 strong with a string of sold out shows in February in venues ranging from 850 at the smallest to 15,000 tickets sold at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. The Grahams w/ Producer Pal David Garza Reglorify 'Glory Bound' in Deluxe Edition, Out March 253/8/2016 ![]() NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Press Release)— “You don’t have to know the story of the Grahams to love them,” says singer-songwriter and producer Davíd Garza. “But when you learn it, it makes you appreciate their magic even more.” That magic — what Garza describes as “an otherworldly depth” that happens when two forces combine and become thoroughly intertwined — has been developing since Doug and Alyssa Grahambecame school friends at ages 9 and 7, respectively. It only got stronger when the New Yorkers became high-school sweethearts, then husband and wife, and now, it permeates every musical adventure this plucky couple takes on, including a deluxe version of their 2015 album Glory Bound with five newly recorded, Garza-produced tracks, to be released March 25, 2016 on Three Sirens Music Group via Sony’s Red Distribution.
