While there are no NYC/Northeast dates on the calendar, anyone who is in the Southeast should definitely head out and hit one of the Braun brothers shows. Reckless Kelly and Micky & The Motorcars are out on a nine date run together starting October 30th in Nashville and ending on November 7th at Billy Bob's in Texas. PBS music program Austin City Limits is celebrating its 40th season with an all star prime time special that will air tonight, October 3rd, from 9-11pm EST (check local listings for channel).

With guest hosts Jeff Bridges and Sheryl Crow, the two-hour broadcast features memorable moments, while the brightest stars in the series’ history return to the ACL stage for duets and collaborations.

Rising Texas star Jenna McDaniel took some time off from a hectic touring schedule opening for acts like Cory Morrow, Roger Creager, Jason Boland, Wade Bowen and others last month, to receive Big Star 97 Radio’s Best New Female Vocalist Award in Fort Worth. The talented young artist was voted to receive the award out of 20 nominees by the internet station, which is the longest-running web station in the state of Texas. Big Star 97 is a huge supporter of rising Texas talent and started the awards to recognize excellence among the crop of stellar new artists coming out of the Lone Star State each year. Rascal Flatts, the best-selling Country vocal group of the past decade, will make their Prudential Center debut on October 10 with special guest The Swon Brothers. 

Rascal Flatts' October performance will mark the latest addition to a successful schedule of top country acts to take the Prudential Center stage. In March, country music legend George Strait set a building attendance record with 17,596 fans and superstar Taylor Swift has sold out a total of nine concerts since the arena opened in 2007. Additional country performances have included Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.

Award-winning vocal group, Restless Heart, will headline a special evening of music at Nashville’s Listening Room on October 13th, benefiting the Shepherd Center’s SHARE Military Initiative. A celebrity auction featuring autographed memorabilia and other items will also take place during the evening’s festivities, with all proceeds from the show and auction going to benefit Gulf War veterans suffering from brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder. The benefit lineup for the evening, which kicks off at 8 p.m., promises to be stellar. With just a handful of shows into his jaunt, Eric Church’s “The Outsiders World Tour” has already drawn more than 100,000 fans to see what Jon Bream of Minneapolis’ Star-Tribune called “country’s most compelling live act.” Having launched in Bossier City, LA on Sept. 11, the tour puts a spotlight on country music’s top-selling album of 2014, The Outsiders, which features the new single “Talladega,” the No.1 most added song at country radio a week before add date - with over 100 total first week stations! Celebrating its success, Church will return to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Oct. 15 to perform "Talladega."

The Outsiders is nominated for CMA Album of the Year and has earned Church three additional CMA nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year, as well as both Single and Song of the Year for his No. 1 hit song “Give Me Back My Hometown,” which he co-wrote with Luke Laird. “The Outsiders World Tour” features Dwight Yoakam as Special Guest.  Rising country duo Brothers Osborne is currently the tour’s opening act. Two-time CMA Awards nominee Brandy Clark will take over the opening spot beginning on Oct. 16 in Charlottesville, VA. Later in the year, rock band Halestorm will join the tour as opening act.
