Emerging artist Brett Staggs will release his new EP, Nothing Bad Ever Happens To Me, on October 7th. Staggs, who is originally from Pennsylvania, spent a short stint in Austin as a drummer/backup vocalist before returning to PA where he was inspired to write and perform as a solo artist. His influences, which include The Traveling Wilburys, The Clash, and Dylan, as well as Petty and Cash, impacted his new project which puts forth sincerity and wit in four self-penned tunes. Things kick off with the rocker of a title track which features heavy electric guitars, a catchy hook, and crafty lyrics. That's followed by the rollicking, edgy "Shovelin'", the roots rocker "Home is Where The Party Is", and the dramatic "Love In My Heart (Hell in My Soul)." Give it a listen.
